The Snow Run
The First Snow!
On the first day that snow fully covers the campus grounds, Ballard Babes and Mac Men will gather to take part in the long running tradition of the BMAC SNOW RUN!
this tradition has two parts. the Ballard run and the McMillian run.
Ballard Babes will do their run at 11pm while Mac Men will do their run at midnight. The reason for this will be explained next.
The traditional attire to wear for this tradition is swimming clothes or sports underwear. basically if you can wear it to a public childrens pool, you can wear it for the tradition. this is not to say that you are required to wear that little clothing. you can bundle up as warm as you want. but it is encouraged to participate in a more traditonal way. how you participate is entirely up to you.
When the Campus is fully covered in snow and the BMAC leadership members make the call, BMAC members will charge out of Mac and run through the snow all the way to the campanille/clocktower located on the far side of the loop. once gathered around the campanille/clocktower in a circle or smileyface formation, they will begin their shouting one of their signiture dorm chants.
Dorm Chant:
*Smiley formation*
EYES BRIGHT, HOLD’EM TIGHT,
THE GIRLS HAVE LOST THEIR FEARS!
WE’RE THE BOYS WHO BRING THE JOYS
TO DORMITORY DEARS!
OH, WE’D RATHER KISS THAN FIGHT,
WE’RE THE RIDERS OF THE NIGHT!
WE’RE THE DORMITORY CAVILERS!
HUH!
*End by screaming HUH as loud as possible*
After the Chant is completed the students will return to Mac hall to warm up. for medical reasons DO NOT go straight to the showers to warm up. it has caused medical problems in the past and so we urge people to avoid doing that to themselves.
