The Battle for Big Red

late one Saturday night after an awesome prime of OPT, things went from fun and games to violence and injuries. a few days prior to this incident, a few BMAC members snuck over to BJ and stole their Big Red Painting as well as the Captain Oliver painting (BJ had recently stolen that painting from Oliver). On Saturday, October 4th 2025 at approximately 10:20 pm, a few students from BJ and Oliver entered Mac hall in search for their stolen artifacts. the Oliver students quickly grabbed Captain Oliver and fled the scene. the BJ freshmen had a bit more difficulty finding Big Red. When a few Mac Men attempted to defend their Smiley Artifact and keep BJ from stealing back Big Red, Many of the BJ freshmen resorted to violence in order to reclaim their artifact. The Mac Men involved were choked, punched, scratched and pinned to the ground under someones knee. Additionally the Mac Mens clothes were ripped and the Smiley artifact was badly damaged. During this chaos, the Ballard Senator came over to Mac to attempt to stop the chaos. The Senator was shoved by a BJ student against the wall causing her to hit her head. The Ballard Senator suffered a significant concussion and was forced to withdrawal from Whitworth with serious symptoms of permanent brain damage. while all parties involved were required to engage in a conduct meeting and had to write reflection papers, no action was taken to prosecute the BJ students who resorted to outright violence and caused significant damage to the Ballard Senators health. it is important to note that the only injury that occurred for anyone in BJ was a singular fake nail being broken off.

The Campus wide capture the flag game between all dorms was banned for the year and the artifacts were locked away to prevent anyone from attempting to play the game during this ban.
