The McMillian Sewer

In the early part of the 1970's, the basement of Mac Hall was known as the sewer. In the spring of 1973, a waterbed had broken, "sending small a tsunami down the hallway." Doug Barlow stated that "about a month into the second semester, Charlie's (Doug's roommate) off campus girlfriend gave Charlie a rabbit, which he kept in the room. This greatly added to the aromatic ambiance of 'The Sewer,' helping its name live well on past the time when the hallway carpets finally dried up" (Class of 1976).
