Sand Hill run

An old tradition was to run up a large sand hill on the far end of whitworth campus. it was a challenge given to freshmen as part of their traditiation. 

the tradition was banned due to the sand hill beginning to rapidly deteriorate and posing significant danger to the students involved. Additionally, the students running on the sand hill accelerated the deteriotation process.
